Lynn Travis
Lincolnville, Maine
Lynn Travis, born 1955 in New York, has been a Maine resident since 1978.  She received her art education through the Art Students League in NYC, graduate study at California College of the Arts, private study with Neil Welliver, and as a BS degree from Boston University.

Travis has exhibited artwork both in and out of state, in solo, invitational, juried and group exhibtions.  Maine exhibitions include:  The Center for Maine Contemporary Art, Rockport; Caldbeck Gallery, Rockland; L.C. Bates Museum, Hinkley; Greenhut Gallery, Portland; Ogunquit Art Center, Ogunquit; J.S. Ames Gallery, Belfast.

In 2000 she was awarded the Carina Residency on Monhegan and in 2003 the Robert M. MacNamara Foundation Artist Residency.  Her work has been reviewed in Art New England and several Maine newspapers.  The painting titled Resting is the cover of the poetry book  In the Well by Elizabeth Tibbetts.  Her work is included in  both private and corporate collections.
